Hi, could someone pls tell me what 'taraf' means in Persian? Is it if you say something but don't really mean it? Thank you...

taraf can also mean a "way" such as you would say "that way" in persian it would be "oon taraf"

Taraf in Persian acts like an indifinte pronoun. Usually two people at the present of a third guy or more, when they talk about somebody and they don't want the present guy know who they are talking about, they use "taraf", for example they say: "taraf yesterday called me and we talk about that problem."
