I want to get a tattoo in memory of my mother who was iranian, but im mixed and live in the US and only know partial farsi from what she taught me when i was little, so i was wondering if someon could please translate this in farsi character for me: Nina, of love

You can put ot in this way maybe "به یاد نینا"

What do you mean by Nina, Of love? If you mean "Nina your love" then it will be "نينا عشق تو". please notice it reads from right to left.
